Course #1:  Youth Protection Training

BSA Youth Protection Training is now required for at least one adult present during any event or activity needing a local or national tour permit.  Further, every adult participating in nationally sponsored events and activities must be trained in BSA Youth Protection.

Youth Protection MUST be taken every two ( 2) years.

Course #2:  This Is Scouting

This is Scouting - provides an overview of the Scouting movement, including history, values, programs, youth protection, community involvement, training, and so on. The module consists of six video sections, each followed by a brief quiz. Completion is noted automatically in the BSA training records database if the module is experienced online.

Estimated time to complete: 50 minutes.

Course #3:  Troop Committee Challenge

 

The 2008 tragic tornado event at the Scout camp in southwestern hw.jpgIowa highlights the importance of leaders having an education in this area.

Hazardous Weather training must be completed prior to requesting a tour permit from the BSA. The module presents safety precautions for eight different types of weather, as well as planning, preparation, and traditional weather signs. You will answer questions about the topics after each section. Completion is noted automatically in the BSA training records database if the module is experienced online. Estimated time to complete: 40 minutes.
