Troop 1097 was awarded The Lord Baden-Powell Award for Scouting Excellence on the World-Wide-Web in 2003 as a Quality Organization Website!
Troop 1097 has been selected as the (first and last) Seneca District Troop of the Year. All Troop members should be proud of this great achievement. Three adult leaders in the Troop were honored at the final Seneca District banquet. Congratulations go out to them for all of the hard work they have done as a part of Scouting.
To receive a rank advancement at a specific Court of Honor you must complete your Scoutmaster Conference at least three weeks prior to the Court of Honor. To schedule a Scoutmaster Conference contact the Scoutmaster at least a week in advance.
Board of Reviews need to be completed at least two weeks prior to a Court of Honor. To schedule a Board of Review contact the Committee Chair at least a week in advance. All awards and advancements need to be turned in to the Scout Advancement Leader at least two weeks prior to a Court of Honor.
If you plan to work on a merit badge during a Troop meeting you must contact a counselor for that merit badge at least a week in advance to make sure they can attend the meeting and work with you. Contact the Webmaster for a list of merit badge counselors.
Permission slips are due two weeks before an event. Failure to turn in your permission slip with required money may result in not going on the trip or participating in an activity on the trip which requires reservations. Sufficient time is also required to plan meals and purchase groceries. Each patrol will set its own requirement in that regard.
First Monday of every month (September - June) the Patrol Leaders Council (PLC) will take place from 7-8pm at the Senior Patrol Leaders' house. E-mail the Senior Patrol Leader (SPL) for directions.
First Tuesday following the PLC the Troop Committee/Scoutmasters Meeting will take place from 7:30–9:30pm at the Committee Chair's House. E-mail the Committee Chair for directions.
