White Water Rafting

Class I-II+ rapids over 7 miles of river near Harpers Ferry, WV, trip lasts 2 -3 hours, 6 person rafts with a guide in each raft, no previous rafting experience needed, but you will get wet.  Most gear is provided but you will need quick dry clothing (no cotton), river sandals (no flip-flops) or old pair of sneakers, extra change of clothes for after the trip.  

Leave IWLA and proceed to Walkersville Watershed Campground, set-up tents, make lunch, leave at 1 to go to raft site, get trained, hit the water at 2:30, go back to campground for supper and over-night camp, arrive back at IWLA around 11.

A Troop Permission Slip AND an Adventure Center liability waiver must be completed and turned in by the May 29th troop meeting.
